Singapore-based cloud music collaboration platform BandLab has announced three new key appointments to its leadership team.

1. William Adamopoulos will join as Senior Advisor. He is currently the CEO/Asia of Forbes Media and President & Publisher of Forbes Asia. He was previously the Publisher and Managing Director of The Asian Wall Street Journal, and the President of Dow Jones Publishing Company (Asia).

2. Thomas Callahan will join as Group CFO. He previously spent 15 years at Forbes Media, culminating in a three-year tenure as CFO. He will be responsible for leading BandLab Technologies’ worldwide finance and strategy, corporate development and compliance.

3. Ivan Chen will join as Group COO. He was previously a Senior Associate at Temasek Holdings and an Analyst at Seatown Holdings. He will oversee operations and drive efficiency and integration across BandLab Technologies.

“As our team expands and revenue streams grow internationally across our different verticals, I believe it is essential to match our team’s passion and drive with access to tremendous experience,” said BandLab CEO, Meng Ru Kuok, in a press statement.

In a related development, BandLab has introduced a new cloud mastering feature for music tracks to its platform.

It will be free for all users and they will be able to select from three track mastering options: CD quality, which boosts the overall volume and polish of the track; BASS BOOST, which, as its namesake suggests, enhances the bass of the tracks in music genres such as EDM and rap; and ENHANCE CLARITY, which adds audio brightness and pop-sensibilities, and let each layer stand alone.

Since its founding in 2014, BandLab has made two significant acquisitions. The first is San Francisco-based design studio MONO in September this year, and the second, in the same month, iconic American pop culture magazine Rolling Stone.
