GetCRAFT, which is working with more than 250 brands, plans to open offices in Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore by the end of 2018
GetCRAFT, an Indonesian startup backed by 500 Startups and Convergence Ventures, has announced the official launch of its online content marketplace, which enables brands and agencies in Southeast Asia to discover and connect to content creators and marketers across the globe.
The Jakarta-headquartered startup claims its platform connects brands and agencies with more than 4,000 vetted influencers, publishers, videographers, writers, photographers, and designers within minutes. It also lets users filter by country, language, services offered, and categories; sort by cost or views; and pitch projects to either all creators that meet their requirements or a select few.

“Despite the fact that brands and agencies can now target more than 50 per cent of the world’s population via online ads, when it comes to being able to discover and hire high-quality creators, no progress has been made whatsoever. This is something we hope to change by making what used to take brands and agencies two to three weeks to accomplish now doable in two to three hours,” said Patrick Searle, Co-founder and group CEO of GetCRAFT.
The company claims that GetCRAFT also gives marketers cost estimates or potential views based on the content creators or sponsored content partners they choose. The clients can use this capability to plan their content marketing campaigns. “This is something Facebook and Google have been giving their clients for years to help understand ROI, and which we now want to bring to content production and sponsored content,” he added.
The company claims it has worked on more than 3,000 projects, with clientele including Unilever, Nestlé, P&G, J&J, Coca-Cola, L’Oréal, Google, Samsung, GE, Visa, Traveloka, and Grab. GetCRAFT is now present in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
In the last three years, GetCRAFT claims to have run US$10 million worth of projects for more than 250 brands and will have doubled in size by the end of 2018 with offices in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
The startup takes a small commission for helping connect brands/agencies to relevant content creators for all their content production and sponsored content needs.
In early 2017, the startup raised a seed round of funding from 500 Startups & Indonesia’s Convergence Ventures to speed up its tech development and expansion into the Philippines and Malaysia. It is now in talks with multiple VCs to raise Series A funding in Q4 this year.
