The Singapore Computer Society (SCS) — an infocomm and digital media professionals network with over 31,000 members — has unveiled the 10 best tech companies to work for in Singapore at this year’s Tech3 Forum.
The companies were selected from 30 nominations spanning across the startup, SME and MNC sectors.

Only tech companies with Singapore offices are eligible. They were judged based on five criteria: Inspiring people culture, spirit of innovation, financial sustainability, people management and human resource policy.
The judging process also included a site visit and presentation.
A panel of judges consisting of 14 professionals oversaw the selection process. They include:
- Eddie Chau, Co-Founder & Chairman, V-Key Inc;
- Chia Wee Boon, CEO, NCS;
- Amit Choudhury, Technology Editor, The Business Times;
- Ho Geok Choo, CEO, Human Capital Singapore;
- Andrew How, Managing Director, Korn Ferry Hay Group Singapore;
- Frank Koo, Head of SEA, Korea & Japan – Talent & Learning Solutions, LinkedIn;
- Howie Lau, President, Singapore Computer Society;
- Augustin Lee, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Manpower;
- Dr Lee Kwok Cheong, CEO, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM);
- Steve Leonard, Chief Executive, SGInnovate;
- William Liu, Chairman & Managing Partner, Stream Global;
- Leslie Loh, Managing Director, Red Dot Ventures;
- Low Huan Ping, Executive Vice-President, Information Technology, SPH;
- Tan Choon Shian, Chief Executive, Workforce Singapore (WSG);
- Gilbert Tan, CEO, Employment & Employability Institute (e2i).
Here are the 10 companies that received the award:
- Accenture – Global professional services company;
- Carousell (overall winner for start-up category) – Singaporean c2c marketplace;
- EON Reality – US-based VR/AR solutions company;
- IBM – Global computing solutions and consulting company;
- Razer (overall winner for large/MNCs category) – US- and Singapore-based gaming hardware company;
- Red Hat (overall winner for large/MNCs category) – US-based open source solutions company;
- ST Electronics Info-Comm Systems – Singaporean infocomm tech solutions company;
- Tableau – US-based data visualisation software provider;
- Tinkerbox – Singaporean tech design and development studio;
- Titansoft (overall winner for mid-sized/SMEs category) – Singaporean software solutions company.
“The success of the 10 best tech companies to work for is a testament to the importance of investing in human capital in the midst of a digital revolution. We hope that this award will inspire other technology companies to join us in creating a strong people culture across the industry,” said Howie Lau, President, Singapore Computer Society, in an official press statement.
