Not everyone can attend innovfest unbound 2017 taking place in Singapore today, but they can get a pick through a tweetstorm

Welcome to innovfest unbound! Or… at least welcome to a bunch of tweets that will give you a nice idea of the Singapore’s government big tech event today.

Singapore Minister for Communications and Information, Yaacob Ibrahim, opened the event with a keynote address that gave him an opportunity to announce a new data science consortium and AI initiatives.

Nice one Holmusk! It always is nice to see a company that I spent time interviewing finding success.

Looks like I’m going to have to go on a crash diet to enjoy this ride.

On that note, even if I did ride this thing, would the helmet really matter? Maybe yes, but it’s not like people wear helmets on a hot air balloon ride.

This TV looks awesome, and may be a great way to keep track of what speakers are on stage. But, it’s basically impossible to hear them over the people networking.

Kuka Robotics was once the center of a discussion in China. The question was if the country was just building robots without any demand. Seeing these bad boys up close is neat.

One of the heartening moments was walking into this startup-only conversation to see the room completely packed.

They say robots are going to take our jobs. This one is set to replace on-demand concierge at hotels. Need a new blanket? Well, expect to see this little guy deliver it.

When I met Ksubaka, I kept asking the same question to Co-founder Julian Corbett, “Why are you jumping straight into China from Singapore?”. It seemed insane. Turned out, the high-risk play worked and now Ksubaka is taking off across China.
