Earlier this year, Go-Jek had launched new features on its platform that were the results of its collaboration with third parties: News aggregator Go-News, online mall Go-Mall, and comic reader Go-Komik. The three services will complement existing features in the Go-Jek core app as part of its effort to become a “super app” with an increasingly longer time consumers spent on the app.

By far Go-Jek has already owned 21 services and six features in one app that connects two million partners with millions of customers in Southeast Asia. Based on data by App Annie, Go-Jek is the on-demand app with the biggest number of monthly active users in 2018.

Go-Jek Head of Third Party Platform Sony Radhityo said that, as the first super app in Indonesia, the launch of innovations that are able to fulfill customers’ needs is the key to the company’s growth by far.

“Various internal and external data revealed access to shopping and updated information as an important concern for Go-Jek customers and their peers. These two features [Go-Mall and Go-News] will answer that need; it is in line with our goal of helping customers find all the services they need in one app,” Radhityo explained.

Go-News is a news aggregator that is developed with the goal to give customers more reasons to connect with the Go-Jek app. Kumparan is the first news platform to partner with the platform.

JD. id and Blibli are the e-commerce platforms that partner with Go-Jek for the Go-Mall service. The two platforms were chosen for their ability to help realise Go-Jek’s vision of helping its users purchase various daily needs.

The collaboration with JD.id and Blibli included the integration Go-Pay payment system for the platforms.

“There will always be new challenges. Like we have managed to prove from time to time, our mission at Go-Jek is to continuously use technology as a solution to fulfill those needs. We achieve this by working with our partners and business partners to create positive social impact for the society,” Radhityo explained.

The Indonesian unicorn is also developing Go-Komik, a feature that enables customers to read comics by local artists. Based on DailySocial‘s observation, the artists include Tahilalats, Sebut Saja Oloy, and Maghfirare.
