The new identity was first used during the recent Data for Life 2016 event
Indonesian big data analytics company Mediatrac announced on Thursday that it has officially rebranded itself to DATTABOT.
First launched during the Data for Life 2016 event in late August, the identity change is meant to represent the company’s new vision and business line in the field of data analytics.
Founded in 2003, DATTABOT started out as a media monitoring firm with the mission to build “Indonesia’s most complete data library for the media.” It began to branch into online media, social media and geo-demographic monitoring in 2007, encouraging the company to start experimenting with big data analytics to process their existing library.

“The new identity accurately represents our smart machine which is able to integrate massive and varied data, while also showcasing Indonesia’s ability to develop world-class innovative technology that is ready to compete in international level,” said DATTABOT CEO Regi Wahyu in a press statement.
According to the company’s description, the new identity consists of three core elements: Data (to represent their line of work in big data analytics) and Bot (to represent the company’s artificial intelligence technology).
The use of two letter Ts represents DATTABOT’s three founding partners; according to Hindu mythology, Datta is an incarnation of the three major deities Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
DATTABOT also stated that the use of the new branding does not affect the company’s legal name of PT Mediatrac Sistem Komunikasi.
