After their recent victory in the Global Startup Awards which saw participation from over 1000 participants across the world, the platform has been chosen to represent ASEAN accelerators on a global stage.

The Global Startup Award is granted to companies that have a world-class startup operation model with a team of knowledge, expertise, including technology and equipment that drives sustainable business growth at the national and international levels.

I am delighted and proud of AIS by the AIS The StartUp project that wins world-class awards, which aside from being confident in the potential of startup entrepreneurs in Thailand, it also emphasises the intention of companies that hold policies to support startup businesses continuously,” Lertsutiwong adds.

The award for AIS The Startup came after the recent cessation of dtac Accelerator, another leading telco-backed accelerator in Thailand.

In an interview with e27, Sompoat Chansomboon, former Managing Director of dtac Accelerate, explained that the discontinue was due to the “new business direction” that the telco has set up.
