Nudgespot, a messaging platform that was built to help businesses communicate with their customers personally, has been acquired by Boomtrain, a US-based marketing platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to drive relevant interactions with users at every touchpoint.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Nudgespot will integrate into Boomtrain’s technology to deliver a good experience for businesses to communicate with customers and visitors on websites and on mobile apps, as per a statement.

“The acquisition of Nudgespot will accelerate our strategy to enable AI-powered communications between businesses and their customers,” said Nick Edwards, CEO and Founder of Boomtrain.

This gives marketers the ability to incorporate multi-channel chat functionality, combined with our artificial intelligence platform, to facilitate personalised, scalable conversations with their customers,” he added.

Nudgespot has been Boomtrain’s partner for nine months and the Bangalore-headquartered company has been co-developing a product that combines its platform with the latter’s technology.
