Instead of the usual four to five startups, this time Ideabox announces only three winners of its recent startup bootcamp

Indonesia’s leading accelerator programme Ideabox today announced the three winning startups to join the fourth batch of its programme, following a bootcamp event held in Jakarta from February 10-13.

Chosen among 15 finalists, those three startups are:

1. Andalin
A one-stop service platform for small and medium enterprises that is integrated with customs service

2. Ayo Slide
A mobile marketing platform that allows brands to advertise on users’ lockscreeen.

3. Sevva
A rental platform aiming to make renting process easier with an escrow service.

The winners are set to receive US$50,000 early stage funding, mentoring with local and international mentors, access to investor network, and a dedicated facility for the 120-days duration of the programme. They will also receive support from Ideabox strategic partners such as a US$80,000-worth of marketing credits from Facebook, a US$120,000-worth of cloud infrastructure, IBM Soft Layer, and IBM Blue Mix.

The winners will also receive priority treatment for commercial partnership with Indosat Ooredoo, a leading telco company in Indonesia.

This year, Ideabox also breaks tradition by announcing three startups into the programme, instead of the usual four to five startups.

“This year, we went through a heavy selection process due to the increasing quality and variety of startups [participating in the competition], as compared to the previous years,” said Andy Zain, Managing Director of Kejora, in a press statement.

“In the end, the batch four winners are the companies which we believe can grow added value through our network, and are able to accelerate through our programme,” he added.

Ideabox is the result of a partnership between Indosat Ooredoo, Kejora, and Mountain Partners.

In November, Ideabox announced that apart from continuing its long-running accelerator programme, it will also branch into venture capital investment by launching Ideabox Ventures. Startups participating in the Ideabox accelerator programme have the opportunity to receive investments from Ideabox Ventures, though the firm is aiming for a different stage of funding.
