Major investors included Vertex Ventures, Cisco Investments and IDG Ventures India
US-based Customer Analytics Technologies Inc., the owner of a Chennai operated customer experience SaaS tool named CloudCherry, announced today it has raised a US$6 million Series A.
The investment included participation from Vertex Ventures, Cisco Investments and IDG Ventures India.
The money will be used to finance CloudCherry’s global expansion — with the company placing particular emphasis on the US, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
“With this funding and their support, we are many steps closer to making our presence globally and becoming the name synonymous with customer experience!” said Vinod Muthukrishnan, Co-founder and CEO of CloudCherry in an official statement.

CloudCherry is an omni-channel platform that measures customer experience with a given brand. It offers surveys via QR code, email, online and mobile. This link offers an idea of the backend dashboard.
Its clients include World of Titan, HDFC Bank, Central, Voonik and Caratlane. It operates in the financial services, retail, e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing and hospitality verticals.
“We believe the next generation of global SaaS companies will be built out of India. CloudCherry is one such company that has been able to leverage India’s deep technology talent to build and sell products in a global market,” said Ben Mathias, India Head of Vertex Ventures, in an official statement.
TC Meenakshi Sundaram, the Founder and Managing Director at IDG Ventures India said he was impressed by CloudCherry’s ability to make a mark in the industry — not just in India but in other countries as well.
“In this round, global expansion is the focus, and with CX becoming an everyday topic of discussion in every organization, the timing can’t be any better. Wishing the team an amazing run ahead,” he said.
