Anchanto’s SaaS platforms connects e-commerce sellers, brands, retailers and warehousing and fulfilment service providers to 70-plus e-commerce sales channels

Anchanto, a Singapore headquartered SaaS e-commerce company, has raised US$4 million its first round of ongoing Series C investment led by MDI Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Telkom Indonesia.

The capital raised from this tranche will be used for marketing and expanding in Southeast Asia.

This funding comes more than a year after its Series B investment round from Transcosmos Japan and Luxasia Group in May 2017.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Vaibhav Dabhade, Anchanto’s SaaS platforms connects e-commerce sellers, brands, retailers and warehousing and fulfilment service providers to 70-plus e-commerce sales channels. Using Anchanto platforms, enterprises and SMEs manage their core e-commerce business operations such as warehousing services, catalogue, pricing, multi-channel selling, logistics, and local and cross-border shipping.

Anchanto’s signature SaaS product for sellers and brands, SelluSeller.com, provides a software solution to manage their inventory, orders, and catalogues across 50-plus different marketplaces in Asia. Anchanto also offers B2B and B2C e-commerce SaaS warehouse management system (eWMS) with an integrated inventory management system (IMS) and order management system (OMS).

Dabhade said: “Collaboration with Telkom Indonesia and MDI’s investment is the foundation of Anchanto’s Indonesia Strategy. Through this collaboration, we aim to enable thousands of Indonesian SMEs, micro SMEs, and enterprise businesses to join the e-commerce bandwagon, and seamlessly onboard them on Telkom Indonesia’s Depo Logistik Online (DELON), for e-ccommerce fulfilment/warehousing and other digital services.”

“Telkom with its more than 170 million strong user base, digital platforms, mobile payment and business solution already deployed is the ideal partner for Anchanto to scale business in Indonesia. DELON, a Pos Indonesia and Telkom Indonesia joint logistics platform, has its fulfilment centres running on Anchanto eWMS platform. Interestingly, MDI is the third customer to invest in us,” he added.

Nicko Widjaja, CEO and Investment Director of MDI Ventures, said: “This investment complements our efforts in e-commerce sector, tackling different market segments of Indonesia’s logistics landscape with different approaches. Logistic technologies have a huge potential for improving the e-commerce landscape in Indonesia. As products become more diverse, e-commerce will need to optimize the supply chain to be delivered as quickly as possible to the customers. Anchanto’s eWMS provides one of the best dedicated system to synchronize across warehouse management, transportation, and analytics systems.”

The SaaS firm claims to have a massive customer base comprising global players such as Nestle, Luxasia, Transcosmos, DKSH, Telkom Indonesia, Pos Malaysia, Essilor, La Roche Posay, ASOS, VIP Plaza, Bosnet, and many more.

The company has offices and employees across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, India and Australia, besides Singapore.
