The Indonesian barbershop booking platform recently came out as top three startups at the Indigo Creative Nation incubator programme
Following a recent seed funding round by several angel investors and Prasetia Dwidharma, an investment firm owned by PT Astra Internasional president commissionaire Budi Setiadharma, barbershop booking platform Minutes Barber announced plans to rebrand itself as Minutes.
According to a DailySocial report, the startup plans to use new funding for talent acquisition and new features launch. While Minutes has been focussing on barbershop booking platform since its launch in 2015, with the new funding round, the startup aims to launch a new version of its app that will include hair salon, spa, and brow house booking service.
“By launching the 2.0 version of our app, we will also rebrand ourselves from Minutes Barber to Minutes,” said CEO Angki Rinaldy.

Minutes came out as the top three startups at the Indigo Creative Nation incubator programme, which led the company to its seed funding round. The platform connects customers with barbershops, enabling them to jump through queue line by using Smart Notification feature that informs customers the exact time that the barber will see them.
Prasetia Dwidharma itself had recently invested in several early stage Indonesian startups, such as SmartCity app Qlue and language learning app Squline.
The recent trend in on-demand services is that customers tend to lean into mobile apps that provides all sort of services in just one app. Ride-hailing unicorn Go-Jek is a great example of such platform; its integrated service was able to compete with the likes of food delivery service Foodpanda, which had closed its operation in Indonesia last month.
