Ham Yon Han
Car-sharing company GoCar Malaysia has announced the appointment of Ham Yon Han as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Starting from today, Han will be managing GoCar’s day-to-day operations, switching between strategy and execution. His responsibilities include strengthening its customer experience, finance, fleet management, reporting structure, and also internal projects.
“Based on my understanding, GoCar has established quite a number of growth initiatives for the next six to 12 months and my immediate goals are to help execute them. I also plan to look into areas that can be optimised, be it financial elements such as revenue and cost, or customer-facing and back-end processes,” said Han.
Having 10 years of working experience, Han specialises in strategising and optimising processes to enhance business operations while improving their customer experience. He started his career in 2009 as a consultant at Deloitte before moving on to Accenture. After quitting Accenture, he joined the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) as its Program Director. At MaGIC, he spearheaded innovative entrepreneurship programmes such as the e@Stanford programme.

In 2016, he joined Kaodim as its Country Manager in Malaysia, where he planned and executed its growth roadmap, enhanced its customer experience on both web and mobile platforms, and also worked with strategic partners.
Han holds a Masters in Engineering Management from Cornell University.

Established in 2015, GoCar Malaysia is an on-demand car-sharing platform. It provides the flexibility to drive a car by the hour or day via its app. GoCar operates 800 cars in over 400 locations, ranging from sedans, crossover SUVs, MPVs, and pickup trucks. The cars are available in seven states in Malaysia.
In February 2016, Malaysia’s leading travel service provider Mayflower Acme acquired a 55 per cent stake GoCar.
