Brunei Hacks 2018 is the first-ever collaboration between GroMinda Group and Glints
Brunei Hacks 2018, a brainchild of two online unemployment solution companies-GroMinda Group and Glints– has wrapped up its 36 hours-long programs.
The highlighted objective of the program is to create a platform where talents can be mentored and nurtured to have an industrial fit for both local and international career opportunities.
To do so, Brunei Hacks 2018 seeks to encourage entrepreneurial spirits in Brunei by finding solutions to three national problem statements set of tourism, financial technology, and logistics.

Joining the program was over 48 aspiring entrepreneurs from business, coding, and designing background. These participants then were split into seven teams that went through webinar sessions with five international mentors and four on-the-ground local mentors, culminated in a pitching session.
Team Get Up! that was in tourism problem statement emerged as the winner of Brunei Hacks 2018. The team won BND$1,000 (US$730) cash prize, with their app creation that aims to encourage Bruneians and travelers to explore Brunei through Treasure Chests reward system on several locations in Brunei.

GroMinda Group shared that it hopes to have Brunei Hacks an annual event in collaboration with international companies just like Glints that fosters entrepreneurs and opens up international partnerships.
