Talenta, Indonesia’s cloud based Human Resource Management platform, today announces that it has closed an undisclosed pre-­series A funding co-­led by East Ventures and Skystar Capital . Its previous investor, Fenox Venture Capital, also participated in the round.

The company has also received an undisclosed non-­equity funding by Google through its Launchpad Accelerator programme. The funding will be used to expand its reach in Indonesia through marketing and the team expansion.

Along with the funding, Talenta has also officially announced its new pricing model and its new product for startups called Talenta Lite. Talenta Lite will be focusing on small and medium companies with less than 50 employees and/or are more tech savvy.

The company had also participated in Google’s Launchpad Accelerator Class 2 together with five other selected startups from Indonesia where they spent two weeks at Google office in Mountain View and received mentorship from Google.

“We are very excited about our future and with Skystar Capital coming in this round we can reach our goals much faster. I believe that we have passed the product market fit stage and we are at a phase where we need to scale, fast,” said Joshua Kevin, founder of Talenta, in a press statement.

“This strategic investment by Skystar will also be very important for our fintech business model as we expand beyond our trademark payroll software into a B2B2C platform. On another note, attending Google Launchpad Accelerator was very important for us. We changed the way we make our product, we just officially changed our pricing model, and we also have restructured our team,” he added.

The platform is currently processing more than 15,000 employees every month, with companies such as Go-Jek, Panorama, Mayapada Property, Topas TV, SWA Magazine, Grab, and more under its wing.
