Grab users in the markets were unable to use the platform’s cashless payments feature, some reported missing credits

Southeast Asian ride-hailing giant Grab experienced technical issues in its operations in Singapore and Indonesia this morning.

In Singapore, users were unable to use the platform’s cashless payment feature GrabPay.

Across its various social media platforms, the company has been working overtime to facilitate customer service queries, telling most people online that the company is facing technical issues.

On social media platforms such as Twitter, Grab driver-partners also tweeted about being unable to use their app.

By 9.20AM (local time), it announced that users can book for rides using cash and GrabPay-linked cards while they are working on GrabPay Credits and Rewards.

In Indonesia, e27 was able to confirm that several Grab users have seen their GrabPay Credits disappearing, or are unable to use features such as Grab Rewards.

In its operations in various Southeast Asian countries, Grab has announced that it is conducting system maintenance on February 27, 1-3AM local time. During the maintenance, the company said that users would not be able to use the services as usual.
