PayTren enables farmers, housewives and SMEs earn additional revenues by selling airtime and internet packages, electricity vouchers and airline tickets, and recruiting Grab driver partners

Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand transportation company Grab has announced a strategic partnership with Indonesia’s mobile payments and transactions app PayTren.

The partnership will allow PayTren and Grab to combine the forces of its partners and driver-partners, and form a network of more than three million micro-entrepreneurs.

The PayTren app will be integrated with Grab’s Kudo platform, making available Grab driver recruitment as an additional service in the PayTren app, starting 2018. Kudo, a platform providing opportunities to people in Indonesia to grow their current business through technology, was acquired by Grab in earlier this year.

PayTren partners and Kudo agents help Indonesian consumers who have little or no digital experience to access online services. In turn, agents get additional revenue; since Grab driver recruitment was added as a service in Kudo platform, its agents earn up to 30 per cent in additional monthly income.

Headquartered in Bandung in West Java, PayTren was founded by Ustad Yusuf Mansur with a focus on digital technology and community network with more than 1.7 million registered partners. Over 60 per cent of its members are listed as active partners spread all over Indonesia as well as abroad.

PayTren’s network of partners include farmers, housewives, SME owners and white-collar employees. Partners sign up for a range of income opportunities, which include selling airtime and internet packages, electricity vouchers and airline tickets, and now Grab driver-partner recruitment. From today, PayTren partners will be trained on how to sign up new Grab drivers.
