Could the public apology mark an end to the entire fiasco?
After a week of silence over the recent GrabGas controversy, Sean Hoo, co-Founder and CEO at GrabGas, has today made a public apology on his Facebook page.
Hoo, on behalf of GrabGas team and himself, made an apology specifically to everyone involved in the issue, including the team, shareholders, mentors, potential investor, current or potential partners, and Julian Ee, whose blog post about his bad experience as an ex-CTO at GrabGas went viral, and shocked everyone in the industry.
On his Facebook page, Hoo wrote:
We apologize for everyone that is involved in the argument, that includes our GrabGas-ers, shareholders, mentors, potential investor, current or potential partners, the GrabGas team, our beloved families and friends.
We also want to apologize to the media for giving the perception that we intended to mislead or lying about our data. We at GrabGas would like to assure that we never have any intention to mislead the media in the first place. Our data cannot be revealed fully to protect the interest of our key shareholders and investors.
We would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to Julian and admitted that we didn’t handle the ending negotiation part well, and that there was definitely something that we could improve from our side. We wished him best of luck in his future endeavor and we at GrabGas appreciated the effort and contribution he had done to our company.
In the same post, Hoo also included a link to GrabGas’ side of the story with regard to their argument with Ee.
