Echelon TOP100 2018’s Myanmar qualifiers will field 3 illuminary judges in their respective verticals. Here’s the starting line-up.
Echelon TOP100 Qualifiers have been receiving warm reception across the region with hundreds of start-ups showcasing their cutting-edge innovations and developments. The Myanmar leg of our journey will see 18 curated startups taking the stage at Phandeeyar Co-Working space in Yangon, Myanmar this Thursday, April 5.
The best pitches will be awarded the Judges’ Choice and Fan Favourite – and get accelerated to the Finals at Echelon Asia Summit in Singapore this June amongst the shortlisted 100 – ultimately vying for prizes from WeWork, STSP, Web in Travel and SPRING Singapore!

But first – these are the judges they have to get a stamp of approval from:
- Koichi Saito, Founder and General Partner, KK Fund
KK Fund is a venture capital fund investment firm that has a strong focus on the internet and mobile startups verticals across South East Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. KK Fund is usually involved in the seed stage and has successfully led rounds of funding with recognisable names across their portfolio. - Shuyin Tang, Partner, Patamar Capital
Patamar Capital is passionate about improving the livelihoods of the working poor through strategic investments in scalable businesses. Patamar’s main focus areas include engagement with the poor and linking them to economically active zones, addressing market inefficiencies by improving supply chains and distribution platforms, and maximizing social and financial returns. Patamar is primarily involved in the greater Asia region. - Jes Kaliebe Petersen, CEO, Phandeeyar
Phandeeyar is an innovation lab that is spearheading the development of Myanmar’s tech ecosystem. Phandeeyar’s main investment targets include local technology startups, budding entrepreneurs, and empowering tech talent to further hone their skillsets. The company has hosted a series of Hackathons, startup competition events. - Loring Harkness, Incubation Manager, EME Myanmar
Emerging Markets Entrepreneurs (EME-Myanmar) is an investment and incubation company focusing on early stage startups in Myanmar. EME-Myanmar’s portfolio is diverse across sectors including entertainment, education, human resources, commerce, finance, healthcare and more – focusing on strategies to leverage innovative technology and existing networks to create rapidly scalable businesses.

The TOP100 2018 Official Startup Application Round for joining the Qualifier Roadshow has ended, but we are still accepting applications for Discretionary Admission.
