Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) officially unveiled the InnovateNext programme at the opening of its new Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) headquarters in Singapore today
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has officially opened its APAC and Japan headquarter building in Singapore today. The new headquarters will feature HPE facilities such as R&D, supply chain and logistics, marketing, sales offices, It will also house an Innovation Centre and a Customer Experience Centre.
As part of the launch, it has unveiled a new incubator programme designed to pump up to US$140 million of funding into Singapore startups over the next five years.
The incubator, called InnovateNext, is a three-year programme that will be run in collaboration with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). HPE will help incubatees develop enterprise solutions such as including IoT, hybrid IT, and data analytics tools.
A press release said that InnovateNext will support 12 startups, as well as co-innovate and develop 10 industry-specific products with enterprise customers. The startups will be able to tap into HPE’s resources such as its engineering and consultative expertise.
“With our new InnovateNext program, HPE will now be able to provide our best-in-class technology and global partner ecosystem to promising technology startups in Singapore to help them turn ideas into commercially viable enterprise technologies solutions they can offer to prospective customers,” said Meg Whitman, president and chief executive officer of HPE.

Once the startups’ solutions have been developed, HPE will showcase them to its customer base via the Customer Engagement Centre in their Singapore office and its global CEC network.
InnovateNext’s first participant, smart lighting solutions startup gridComm, said that HPE is providing data analytics to help scale its street light control and smart city sensor integrations.
“This programme undertakes a corporate innovation model well-aligned with EDB’s efforts to facilitate partnerships between multinational companies with their customers, suppliers and startups,” said Dr. Beh Swan Gin, Chairman of EDB.
