Pecutus eases travel finances and even helps you donate to charity
Just yesterday, the TOP100 competition in Hong Kong ended on a high as Pecutus Technologies Limited claimed the champion title of Judges’ Choice. This means that they have managed to clinch a free exhibition booth space in the TOP100 Zone at Echelon Asia Summit 2019.
On top of that, the company will also get to enjoy:
- A pitching slot on the TOP100 stage on day one of Echelon
- Intimate investor meetings and inclusion to Corporate business matching
- Five starter tickets to Echelon Asia Summit
- Access to the TOP100 Tour in Singapore
Now, here’s more on Pecutus:
Everyone knows that travelling is fun, but spending abroad is not. Between the elusive money changers and the growing number of millennial travellers, managing travel finances can be a real pain-in-the-neck. That’s why Pecutus has come up with a P2P foreign exchange (FX) system to quell the aches and pains of dealing with foreign currencies.
The system relies on ReadySwap Intelligence, which is engineered to predict multi-currency allocation, verify banknotes for acceptance and have a distributed ledger processing. It also employs a blockchain-based transaction backend to ensure non-repudiation and accountability.
ReadySwap Intelligence is used to power Pecutus’ proud products: ReadyApp and ReadyKiosk — an app that brings buyers and sellers of foreign currencies together and kiosks that work like ATMs.
With Ready, you can cash out your balance in advance, recycle your idle money, get matched with the best bid, gain partner rewards for spending wisely and even donate spare change to charity.
So far, Pecutus has been generating revenue from both B2C and B2B sectors by spreading its customer reach and offering ReadyLite annual subscriptions to businesses. Looking ahead, it sees future strategic F&B partnerships and plans to seize next year’s US$250 billion market potential.
The company’s target group are unsurprisingly millennial travellers, who make up for the majority of the world’s most powerful consumers that no businesses can afford to ignore.

Pecutus’ triple threat team of founders, Victor Yip, Edward Leung and Cynthia Cheung, are all adept at machine learning, finance, manufacturing and marketing. They believe that international exposure from travel is important for youth development, and want to encourage millennials in Hong Kong to travel more and broaden their horizons.
Joining Pecutus is Hong Kong’s other qualifying startup: Luminaire AI Pte Ltd, an AI-powered creative advertisement optimiser.
Luminaire has also scored a chance to enjoy the above rewards should they take up the discounted offer for booth space at Echelon. There, they will also have a shot at competing with other qualifiers for the grand S$50,000 Startup SG grant prize.
Congratulations to these two startups! Look out for our more Echelon news.
