Last month’s AMA with Charmain Tan from PearComms covered the importance of incorporating an inbound and outbound marketing strategy in your business

In the meantime, here are some key takeaways from the AMA that I personally had.

Inbound and Outbound Marketing : I always considered inbound and outbound mutually exclusive strategies rather than complementary strategies. Turns out, you can use a mix of both. It’s actually better for your business because you get to use a mix of long-term and short-term customer acquisition strategies.

Knowing Your Customers : It’s very important to verify and qualify your leads before you consider your approach. Consider using the BANTT framework to evaluate your leads!

Value-based selling : Playing the Devils advocate and thinking about what will make the customer not buy. That helps you know who you shouldn’t target and when to drop a lead when there’s no match between what you offer and what they need. Always think about what you can do to value-add to your customer 🙂
