It features an eclectic range of items, all of which can only be purchased using GrabReward points

Grab

‘Tis the season to be jolly, and Grab is taking on the role of Santa Claus, rewarding the good kids (and by that I mean loyal customers) with the ability to redeem goodies using their hard-earned GrabReward points.

Its GrabRewards pop-up store, located outside the Plaza Singapura shopping mall in Singapore, has no cash register and transactions happen solely on the Grab platform. Customers have to scan a QR code to pay.

For those who lack the requisite number of GrabRewards points to redeem the gift of their desire, they can purchase points at S$5 (US$3.70) for 2,000 points.

The store, which opened on the December 11, features an eclectic range of fancy lifestyle and entertainment products; suitable for Christmas gifts. The store will shutter for good after December 23. So if you have put off Christmas shopping to the last minute, head down there anytime from 11am to 9pm.

Check out the exciting products available!

Clip-on bluetooth speakers are like the modern day boomboxes — except way smaller. The price tag states that it costs 40,000 points, so that translates to S$100 (US$75).

I would be totally down with sipping ice-cold lemon tea from a cactus-shaped bottle in the middle of a savannah.

A gym towel in a nice Grab-branded container. Maybe this will motivate to my haul my lazy arse back on the treadmill!

Adult colouring books can be great fun, but knowing my absymal grasp of art & craft, I would make Tom Hiddleston look more alien than Loki.

And check out that book featuring a collection of romantic soliloquies found on craigslist (I can’t believe I didn’t think of this myself). I do hope they included the more…off-kilter ones.

Cute rubbery cups! Great for handling hot drinks.

Coconut & lime scented candles — perfect for house parties. And on the right there are cups with a dog design or something.

Christmas ornaments. If only they sold the whole tree, too.

This book, written by a Nigerian author and TED talk speaker, got a 4.5/5.5 reading on Goodreads. Pretty legit.

And here’s a little preview.

Rudolf isn’t available for sale, but these little ones are just as cute.

A travel-sized men’s shaving kit.

Grab’s service staff cheerfully accommodated — and assisted — a reporter (me) roving around their tiny store to snap pictures. By the way, I don’t think that tambourine is on sale.

As you can see, the GrabRewards store is really cosy.

These Grab shopping bags have a fine design.

And last but not least, check out the Christmas tree decked out with colourful socks!
