Indonesian logistics startup Paket Delivery (Pakde) has announced a US$400,000 seed funding round from TNKapital this month. Previously, in June, TNKapital had become an angel investor for the same company.

TNKapital is a venture capital firm founded in the end of 2017, providing financial investments, mentorship, networking, publication, and resource allocation for its portfolio companies. TNKapital focusses on startups in the logistics, human resource development, administration, convection service, and supply chain sectors.

Since its establishment in 2016, Pakde has claimed a significant growth. The peak of its growth was marked by 215 per cent rise in warehouse transaction in May, coinciding with the rise of transaction during the holy month of Ramadhan. The company was able to repeat the same achievement in September through aggressive client acquisition and warehouse expansion in Bandung.

Pakde provides operational services which include inbound services such as stock report and stock management. The startup also offers warehousing services in its own warehouses and outbound services such as packing and delivery from partners to clients.

“Since January, Pakde has recorded an up to 194 per cent increase in transaction, and this is a positive response for all of our partners,” said Pakde CEO Nicko Batubara.

Pakde currently works with 15 partners, using the company’s logistics services. Apart from small businesses, big corporations have also begun looking into the startup’s online warehousing solution, particularly those working in the healthcare and electronics fields.

The startup is planning to expand to six cities in Indonesia and two cities in Southeast Asia. The expansion plan will be its main focus for the next funding round.

“We are aiming for a five-fold growth from December to July 2018,” Batubara said.
