In a press statement, MHomecare CEO Angga Pramana Jaya also stated the company’s goal of making healthcare services more accessible for Indonesians.

According to data by the National Workers’ Placement and Protection Agency (BNP2TKI), more than 57 per cent of nurses are unemployed in Indonesia despite having sufficient skills and certification.

At the other hand, according to MHomecare, there is a strong demand for nurses in the market.

To solve this challenge, the startup provides an on-demand service of nurses, midwives, caregiver, physiotherapist, and even an ambulance through a mobile app.

It has a goal of helping 500,000 nurses work independently by 2021.
