Anchanto’s electronic warehouse management system will be integrated with Pos Malaysia’s own processes to form an e-commerce fulfilment system
Singapore-based e-commerce logistics and selling platform Anchanto has announced a partnership with postal and courier company Pos Malaysia.
Under this partnership, Pos Malaysia will be utilising Anchanto’s warehouse management technology to expand its ability in providing a e-fulfilment service, primarily to serve the growing e-commerce business in Malaysia. Anchanto’s electronic warehouse management system will be integrated with Pos Malaysia’s own processes to form an e-commerce fulfilment system.
The new platform will enable Pos Malaysia to provide an end-to-end service for its customers including warehousing and last-mile delivery by Pos Laju, its domestic courier service. Currently, Pos Laju claims it handles 84.6 million volume of parcels and documents.
Pos Malaysia’s online sellers will also be able to use Anchanto’s platform SelluSeller, which enables merchants and enterprises to sell on various e-marketplaces across Asia.

“Pos Malaysia’s strategic collaboration with Anchanto will strengthen our presence in the e-fulfilment business. It will enable us to provide and offer a complete range of e-fulfilment services to our customers such as reliable quality packets and parcel delivery products and services, competitive price and high-level support for warehousing management as well as packet and parcel preparation,” said Pos Malaysia’s Group CEO, Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh.
Salleh added that the initiative is expected to generate a new business streams in e-commerce fulfilment business and he hopes to capitalise on the double digit growth of the industry between 15 to 20 per cent in the coming years.
Pos Malaysia also has an existing transhipment business with China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Pos Malaysia is the nation’s postal service provider and has a network of more than 1,000 touch points with presence across the country, encompassing post offices, Pos Mini, PAM (Pos Automated Machines), Pos-on-Wheels & Go2U (mobile outlets), Pos Laju outlets and service centres, Pos Laju Kiosks, Pos Laju EziBox, Pos Laju Prepaid EziDrop, e-commerce hubs, e-fulfilment hub, Pos Laju EziDrive-Thru, as well as postal and stamp agents.
Anchanto was founded in 2011 by Vaibhav Dabhade in Singapore with the vision “to give customers an enchanting experience” through software platform and associated services.

In May this year, Anchanto secured undisclosed sum in funding from beauty products distributor Luxasia Group and existing investor Japanese e-commerce transcosmos inc. Japan.
Southeast Asia is poised to become one of the world’s fastest-growing regions for e-commerce revenues, exceeding a forecast of US$25 billion by 2020 from US$11 billion in 2015, according to a Frost & Sullivan report. Malaysia and Thailand were the largest e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia in 2015, generating revenues of US$2.3 billion and US$2.1 billion respectively.
