Poshtick, an online platform providing health and wellness solutions to individuals, has raised US$450,000 in funding from two Noida-based high net-worth individuals, Bhavya Sharma and Amit Nagar.

The funds will primarily be utilised for product development, developing human resource capabilities and to build supply chain mechanism.

Poshtick is building a solution for the people who lead busy lives and don’t have time to work out in the gyms, or indulge in physical sports activities to keep themselves fit. Its first product called ‘The Finge Box’ is a combination of fitness and binge, which is a calorie and portion defined mid-meal snacking solution.

The startup is working with a bunch of nutrition experts and chefs to recommend functional, nutritional and value-added food products for customers.

“Poshtick intends to be a one-stop shop for all ‘health and wellness’ needs. Our aim is to create pocket-friendly healthy snack options and make them accessible and available for the masses. Also, we are giving a lot of emphasis on consumer education and want to create a community of educated consumers,” said Pranav Sharma, Founder and CEO.

The app is in the development stage, and will be launched early next year. The company is building a retail presence in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

“People including myself are now increasingly health conscious, but it’s extremely difficult for them to find healthy mid-meal snacking options. The size for health and wellness industry is INR 22,500 crore (US$34 billion) and when we found Poshtick’s founders making a mark in this industry, we decided to back them,” said investor Sharma.
