Williams will help manage company’s operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
Singapore-based online property marketplace PropertyGuru has appointed Jeremy Williams as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Williams will be tasked to manage its operations and projects across the company’s markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Williams was previously the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for India-based auto classifieds marketplace CarTrade.com, a company he has worked at since 2010. To date, CarTrade has raised over US$230 million in funding. Singapore state investment firm Temasek Holdings participated in its Series E round last year.
Williams also played a key role in CarTrade’s US$90 million purchase of marketplace tools platform CarWale.com.
“I am delighted to welcome Jeremy to the Group. He is a seasoned executive with great entrepreneurial energy – a rare find in our region. As we continue our rapid growth, he will greatly aid our quest for higher efficiency, for the business overall,” said Hari Krishnan, Chief Executive Officer, PropertyGuru, in an official press statement.

The Group’s focus is on creating innovative solutions to help consumers make confident property decisions and I am looking forward to contributing to this goal,” said Williams.
Founded in 2007, PropertyGuru claimed to log over 16 million visitors per month. Its Co-founder and CEO of PropertyGuru, Steve Melhuish, stepped down from his leadership position about a year ago, handing over the reins to President and Chief Business Officer (CBO), Hari V Krishnan.
And Last week, e27 reported that PropertyGuru was embroiled in a lawsuit with rival 99.co, over copyright infringements.
