Supporting the 18th Asian Games held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, Qiscus heads the tech implementation during the event

Qiscus, a real-time communication (RTC) technology company from Indonesia, announced its involvement in Asian Games 2018. Qiscus led the collaboration with other local technology providers like a smart city enabler to present Jakarta and Palembang as smart hosts.

As the host for the 18th Asian Games this year, Indonesia has tidied up its tech facilities in Jakarta and Palembang from August 18 to September 2 to welcome 45 countries’ representatives whom will compete in 40 sports. Qiscus will be responsible to lead the technological side of ensuring the security and event monitoring.

With over 40,000 security personnel and 6,000 CCTV cameras on the lookout in both cities, the country needs to immediatly address smooth coordination and communication among the field personnel as well as people in the command center. With Qiscus providing the real-time communication, the company is able to comb through the complexities of the event.

Qiscus provided chat, video call, and video streaming in one dashboard complete with data and information. The live streaming technology allows operators to monitor field activities more efficiently.

Qiscus is available in both mobile and website platform. In the future, Widyangga hopes that the company’s service can be utilised as a part of causes such as disaster relief coordination.
