Singapore-based TreeDots, an online outlet mall providing an end-to-end solution to eliminate the problem of food wastage in the city-state, has clinched the Judges’ Choice award at Echelon Asia 2018.
Myanmar-based startup Kargo, which is Uberising the logistics industry via light trucks and pickups, was adjudged the runner-up.
The two-day event, organised by e27, was held at Singapore Expo from June 28 to June 29.
TreeDots and Kargo are also the winners of the platform & marketplace and the logistics categories, respectively.
These two startups will receive SGD50,000 grant from Startup SG, and will get fast-tracked through the SLINGSHOT@SWITCH competition.
In addition, TreeDots will also get a ticket to WIT Startup Bootcamp, to be held on October 15, 2018. One of the team members will also be provided with flights and accommodation to attend the WIT Conference, to be held on October 16-17,2018 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Started by Nicholas Lim, Tylor Jong, and Jiacai Lou, TreeDots’s mission is to minimise the amount of food waste through a self-sustaining ecosystem via its aggregation of F&B businesses on different points of the value chain within the startup. It recently collaborated with National Environment Agency (NEA) in their food wastage reduction (FWR) outreach programme.

In a DAE community, energy is a digital asset that can be traded for various transactions: peer-to-peer (P2P), machine-to-machine (M2M), and vehicle-to-microgrid (V2M)/vehicle-to-grid(V2G).
Hungry Hub (Thailand): E-commerce
