The Nurturing Co (TNC), a sustainable products company, has closed an initial angel funding from a small group of investors in Singapore and the US.

Singapore-based TNC focuses on creating and distributing products under sustainable plastic-free home goods brand Bambooloo.

The startup will use the funding to expand Bambooloo in the domestic market and also overseas. It also plans to create additional marketing and brand licensing support materials. I will also allow the strengthening of its small team as it prepares to push for further domestic, international and direct-to-consumer growth.

Founded in 2018 by David Ward, TNC is focused on the creation and distribution of sustainable alternative products that reduce or remove one-time plastics from society and the environment.

TNC already supplies key businesses across various sectors in Singapore, including hotels, F&B outlets and retailers. Its clients include Cold Storage, Redmart, Box Green, Salad Stop, Speedy Vending, Unpackt and Scoop Wholefoods Singapore.

To date, TNC claims to have shipped over 110,000 rolls of its first product, bamboo toilet paper.

The firm has also launched its environmental water brand CanO Water in Singapore to help curb plastic-bottle water consumption.
