Apple is hiring Creatives, Geniuses, Managers and Store Leaders in Bangkok

It appears as if Bangkok is set to get its first official Apple Store, according to jobs listings on the website and confirmed by The Nation. The store would be the first in all of Thailand.

A spokesperson told the news outlet,

“We’re excited to begin hiring the team that will open our first Apple Store in Thailand. Bangkok is one of Asia’s leading cultural and tourism centres, with a vibrant design and architectural scene.”

Officially, the location of the store is still confidential and an opening date has not been set. However, a report in the Bangkok Post from July suggests the store will be built at Iconsiam and could be as large as 20,000 sq. ft. (1850 square metres).

That report also said the store could open in 2018.

The hiring is focussed on the usual suspects for an Apple store; the Creative (aka a trainer), Genius (general help), Managers and Store Leaders.

The news comes as Apple is launching its new iPhone 8 and X ahead of the holiday season, a takeoff that has become a more bumpy ride than Tim Cook would have hoped.
