Indonesian human resource tech startup Urbanhire today announced a new partnership with Kompas Gramedia to revamp the media mogul’s jobs platform KompasKarier.

First launched in 2001, KompasKarier is a jobs platform that also allows users to also gain insights from educational articles from Kompas’ media platforms.

It claimed to have delivered “millions of job seekers into thousands of companies” through its online and offline channels, and is regularly hosting career fair event KompasKarier Fair.

Urbanhire said in a press statement that it has built a job listing search engine to help job seekers find jobs “more efficiently” on the platform; e27 has reached out to the companies’ spokepersons to find out more details about the newly revamped platform.

“We are very excited to work with the country’s largest media company in bringing our powerful search technology to modernise the way job seekers find work in Indonesia. Kompas and Urbanhire share the same vision to maximise employment in our country,” said Urbanhire CEO Benson Kawengian.

Jakarta-based Urbanhire is a job listing aggregator and distributor. It enables companies of all sizes to create a careers page in minutes, post to multiple job boards, review applicants, and schedule interviews on just one platform.

It even has a peer review system that allows hiring managers to ‘tag’ related managers to review the candidates, comment on the candidates’ profiles, and send notification emails to arrange interviews.

Established in 2016, it has raised an undisclosed seed funding from RMKB Ventures, Marissa Soeryadjaya (of Indonesian conglomerate Soeryadjaya family), Megain Widjaya (of Sinar Mas Group family), and Farrel Sutantio (of Cimory Group).

Mentored by Indonesian government’s agency for creative industries BEKRAF, the startup came out as finalist at the Startup Istanbul event in 2016.
