According to a report, Vntrip recently raised US$10 million in a new funding round
Vntrip, an online travel agency in Vietnam, has secured an undisclosed sum in funding from late-stage investment company Hendale Capital, says a DealStreetAsia report quoting the Hong Kong-based fund.
The details of the transactions are unknown. According to this report, Vntrip raised US$10 million in a funding round. Prior to this, the OTA had raised US$3 million in Series A from a consortium of investors, led by former Alibaba veteran John Wu.
Launched in 2015, Hendale Capital invests in scalable businesses with high-growth potential backed by core technology. Hendale seeks later-stage venture and growth equity investments. A sector-agnostics fund, its initial commitments range from US$5 million to US$20 million.
Vntrip is the first company in its Southeast Asia portfolio.
Headquartered in Hanoi, Vntrip an online platform to book for hotels rooms. The firm claims to be offering the best prices, free airport shuttle services, convenient payment methods and customer service.
